My thoughts

My thanks to the Author and Publisher for the opportunity to read this story in order to take part in the Blog tour of it organised by Emma Welton of Damppebbles Blog tours.

I gave this a 4 stars or 8/10.

This is the first story in the Lamarr series.  This is a very current story with it's links to 5G technology and the mentioning of the current COVID situation, it is clearly set in the present and not the past.  We as a human race can at times be suspicious of lots of things and many are dubious about 5G and the effect that it might have on us, many are also sceptical about the COVID situation and certain conspiracy theories that could come straight out of fiction that appear to surround it.  This is very much a story that deserves to be read NOW.

The story centres on a revelation that comes about as the result of a discovery that Marcus Hall a scientist falls upon that's linked to the Lamarr computer chips that he has been working on.  His discovery is unusual to say the least and could have psychological repercussions on people and the way they experience life in the future.  To say anymore would reveal too much and suffice to say that I found this concept quite intriguing.

With a cast of characters that you become invested in, the reader is wanting the good guys to WIN against the odds that appear to be stacking up against them.  This is a roller coaster of a ride that will have you on the edge of your seat as you read it, gasping as it twists and turns like any ride at the funfair would have you doing, as it twists and turns on it's journey.  Will you take your seat and ride with the characters on their journey of FEAR?
