From Goodreads

Unhappy, friendless and dissatisfied with life in general, Lottie Botte isn’t afraid to let people know how she really feels.

When her husband Donald comes home and drops a bombshell, Lottie realises she is about to lose everything. Now is her chance to make some changes.

Second chances don’t come along very often, and Lottie must grab her opportunity with both hands, even if it means negotiating with the mysterious hot guy who is moving into her house…

Can Lottie become someone else - a less grotty, snotty Lottie?

My thoughts

I was given a copy of this in exchange for taking part in the Blog tour. I gave this a 6/10 or 3 stars.

Lottie Botte is a woman at the end of her tether when she finds out her husband Donald has acted rather badly behind her back in more ways than one. As Lottie has to come to terms with what has happened, she realises that now is the time for her to make some changes to her life that she hadn't been expecting to make. Can the changes that she is about to make, make her happier and give her a second chance at life?

This is an easy read that kept me engaged for a few days whilst I was reading it. A romantic comedy of a story, the reader is drawn into Lottie's life. Her husband was a piece of work, that spied and took a huge opportunity to make changes for him which ultimately lead to changes for both of them. Was she better off without him? You'll have to make your mind up for yourself when reading the story. I know what my thoughts are on that question.

Many people will be able to empathise with Lottie, life can and often does become mundane for many. Relationships have to be worked at and it's so often to let life get in the way of them. In Lottie's case it was too late for her, as her husband had other ideas about their relationship. It's never too late to make changes in your relationship and remember what you once had, you can have again with the same person. Life isn't always greener on the other side, but for Lottie her decision was made for her.
