Love's Bright Star (Future Movers #2) by Deryn Pittar

Love's Bright Star: Future Movers - Book Two

From Goodreads

James Corban stops time to rescue Sarah Coster from an attack in a nightclub. He has recognized that she is g-altered, like him.

They begin a relationship, hoping to remain unobserved by the government. When Sarah becomes pregnant, both are questioned by the Defense Department. They deny their relationship, but have they successfully deflected the government’s attention?

And what of the talents the unborn baby appears to have?

Can James save Sarah and his child - even if he has to stop time again to do it?

A romance fraught with heart stopping moments and time stopping episodes.

My thoughts

My thanks to the Author via TBConFB for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review. I gave this an 8/10 or 4 stars.

Love's Bright Star is the second in the Future Movers series by Deryn Pittar. Whilst this might be the second in a series it can be read as a standalone. Some of the characters from Catching Love when it Falls, the first in the series return as minor characters.

When James Corban stops time in order to help Sarah Coster, so begins the start of a friendship that develops and it's not long before he finds himself in a relationship. As they both realise they have certain powers and abilities that many normal people don't have. They both realise that need to try to stay under the radar of the authorities that are keen to use people like them for their own gain.

An unexpected pregnancy makes them both even more valuable and between them, they both have to deflect the attention away from them in order to protect all three of them.

This was another great read by Deryn Pittar, who has the ability to engage the reader quickly by involving us in the lives of her g-altered characters and the world that they live in.

If you like a read that helps you escape real life and all it's day to day problems, then grab a copy and put your feet up with a brew immerse yourself in their lives.
