The Quest Begins (The Sacred Quest Trilogy #1) by Skarlet Lu Realta
When Louise uncovers a dark secret in an age-old Scottish castle, one that tore her from her mighty alchemist lover ‘Magus’ of an age long-past, her world shatters. Leaving the castle with a mysterious coded ring on her finger, she is catapulted headlong onto a thrilling deadly quest through a world of synchronistic supernatural magic to attempt to reunite with the Magus once more and complete what they once began. As she begins to recall and write the alchemy of their epic story, the ceremonial temple blood magic that binds them is unleashed as are the story’s characters and events which uncannily come to life, leading her on an incredible trail through quantum time to come face to face with the terror that once tore them apart.
My thanks to the Author, Publisher and TBConFB for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.
Firstly, I've got to say that this book fits into one of the many genres that I love reading. The story has it all romance, secrets, magical scenes, fantasy, dual time frame and supernatural elements and so much more.
I loved the story and have given it a 4.5 stars or 9/10 it sets the scene for the following two parts of The Sacred Quest trilogy. It reads really well and is well written, told in small chapters the story beckons you in to read just that one more and then one more.
I want to find out more about Louise and the Magus, by doing so we will find out where the Author is taking us on this journey. The scene has been nicely set and I for one am totally enthralled. Bring on the rest of the series.
