My thoughts

Shamefully this story has languished on my NetGalley TBR pile.  When reading is an addiction, it's shameful that you approach the likes of NetGalley a fabulous website that allows readers to request books from Publishers and if the Publisher grants your request the idea is that prior to Publication you review and help promote the book that they have let you read on various social media platforms and on your blog if you have one.  Sadly, I don't always fulfil my obligation in that way and this is proof of that.

I hold my hand up like the title of the book Addicted, I am Addicted to reading.  I have previously read and enjoyed books by Nigel May and this one is no different at all.  Nigel has a clear ability at writing the bonkbuster trashy style novels that I devoured in my teens and early adulthood.  His books are set in the modern day 21st Century and would look great on any bookshelf next to the likes of Jackie Collins, Shirley Conran and the rest of the authors of that era back in the 1980's.  

Telling the story of four women who appear to have it all, but all have one common denominator they are all Addicted to something.  Their addictions come in different forms and could be the downfall of each and every one of them in turn.  However, to find out what happens, to who it happens and who may be the one that has caused it, then you need to grab a copy.

Full of fame, power, glamour, addiction, secrets, betrayal and sex, this is a book that will take you away from your normal day to day life and into the world of the Addicted.  It kept me entertained and I enjoyed my time with Nancy, Martha, Portia and Lauren.  Thank you Nigel, I will be reading more of your books as you could say I am a little Addicted!
