A Long Cool Glass of Murder (Terry Bell Mysteries #2) by Colin Garrow

A Long Cool Glass of Murder (The Terry Bell Mysteries Book 2)

From Goodreads

When taxi driver and amateur sleuth Terry takes on a new client, he doesn’t expect her to turn up dead. With echoes of his recent past coming back to haunt him, can he work out what’s going on before someone else gets killed?

‘Charis Brown's elfin-like smile was, like the footsteps on the stairs, noticeably absent. She looked at me, looked at the dead woman and let out the sort of sigh I knew from experience meant it was going to be a long night.’

‘A Long Cool Glass of Murder’ is book #2 in the Terry Bell Mystery series.

If you love mysteries and amateur sleuthing, ski-mask-wearing villains and the occasional bent copper, this'll be right up your everyday seaside-town street. Download your copy of ‘A Long Cool Glass of Murder’ now. Just scroll to the top of the page and select BUY to start your adventure today!

My thoughts

I gave this a 8/10 or 4 stars.

My thanks to Emma of Dampebbles Blog tours for sending me a copy of this book, prior to reading The Jansson Tapes (Terry Bell Mysteries #3) by Colin Garrow in order to take part in the blog tour of that book.

Terry the taxi driver and Carol are back in the second of the Terry Bell Mysteries. Terry never fails to be in the thick of it. He just can't seem to help himself, it's as if he's a magnet for dead bodies. His new client turns up dead! I mean the cheek of it.

With his hobby of amateur sleuthing he's soon trying to work out what's happening and trying to prevent others from dying.

Told with the Geordie accent and humour, Colin Garrow has a way of relating the story through the narrative of the area in which the stories are set. This series is proving to be a great read and I look forward to taking part in the Blog tour of the third story soon.
