The Fetish Queen: Part One ~ Reborn by Nicole Camden

The Fetish Queen, Part One: Reborn
From Goodreads

Newly single and loving every minute, Lille—a.k.a. the Fetish Queen—is unleashed and ready to dominate in the first chapter of the sexy, enticing Fetish Queen series.

Blond, buxom, and bold, pin-up girl Lillehammer Marceaux can get any man she wants, but she leaves her fiancé to move to Florida and run a sex shop called The Fetish Box, owned by her best friend. She immediately clashes with Max Jobman, the rough-hewn tattooed Irishman who owns the local pub. Not a very trusting man, Max is convinced she’s a spoiled beauty who’ll stay just long enough to find a rich husband. He quickly learns that Lille isn’t interested in a husband; she’s focused on making the business a success—but that doesn’t stop her from thinking about what an excellent lover Max will make…

What neither Max nor Lille realizes is that her efforts to become the Fetish Queen, which include making a type of reality show, have caught the attention of a dangerous figure from Lille’s past. Will her troubled past come back and drag her down, or will the Fetish Queen get her way?

My thoughts

In this first part of The Fetish Queen an erotic trilogy, we are introduced to quite a few characters and the past history. Lille Marceau a.k.a the Fetish Queen, has a past that she would prefer to keep covered up and is hiding from someone namely her errant father.

As she leaves Florida and her fiance behind to help run a sex shop with her friend. She encounters Max Jobman and clashes with the tattoo branded local bar owner.

Max sees her as a bit good looking woman, a money grabber on the look out for a rich husband. He couldn't be further from the truth if he tried. She sees him as potential lover that she can control in her own way.

At 105 pages this is more of a novella and I can't help thinking that it would have made a much better story as a full length book rather than a three part novella series. As no sooner are we getting into the story than it abruptly ends leaving us on a cliffhanger that'll be continued in the second part.

I liked the writing style and feel that quite a lot was fitted in this first part. If you're expecting lots of action in the erotic department this doesn't occur too early in the book and there is enough of it to whet your appetite and it's quite tastefully done.

I liked the relationship that was beginning to develop between Lille and Max and look forward to reading the next part Infamous soon.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.  6/10.
