The First Rule of Swimming by Courtney Angela Brkic

The First Rule of Swimming

I was sent this as an ARC by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I've seen some really good reviews of this story but I'm not sure that I was all that enthralled with it.

The premise of the story was one that usually engages me but I felt this was a little lacking, this might not be the fault of the story but more to do with the way that I read it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to read this in larger chunks and only read 20 or so pages at night and found as a result of this that I didn't engage with the story.

It wasn't badly written at all but I felt that I got lost along the way.

The story tells the tale of two sisters and when one goes missing, with no word from her at all, the other sister decides that she needs to go to New York to look for her. Blah blah blah. It's how I felt about it, I didn't care enough about either of them but I did read the whole story as I'm not disciplined enough to give up on a story.
