All Her Fault by Andrea Mara

From Goodreads

ONE MISSING BOY.

Marissa Irvine arrives at 14 Tudor Grove, expecting to pick up her young son Milo from his first playdate with a boy at his new school. But the woman who answers the door isn't a mother she recognises. She isn't the nanny. She doesn't have Milo. And so begins every parent's worst nightmare.

FOUR GUILTY WOMEN.

As news of the disappearance filters through the quiet Dublin suburb and an unexpected suspect is named, whispers start to spread about the women most closely connected to the shocking event. Because only one of them may have taken Milo - but they could all be blamed . . .

IN A COMMUNITY FULL OF SECRETS, WHO IS REALLY AT FAULT?

My thoughts

I grabbed a copy of this from BorrowBox as it was chosen as a book to read by a reading group that I am in.

Telling the story of Marissa Irvine, who let her son go on a playdate after School with a new boy from his School.  As the door opens she's at a loss as the lady opening the door isn't the Mum that she was expecting.  She isn't the nanny of the new boy and Milo isn't there.

What has happened to Milo and where has her son gone?  This is any Mothers nightmare and Marissa is lost as to what to do.  As news of the disappearance becomes known in the area, the finger of suspicion turns towards a group of four women who appear to be linked in some way.  Only one of them could be guilty, but they are all guilty until proven innocent.

I was gripped from the first few pages as Marissa begins to realise that her son Milo is missing.  Told in short chapters and from different characters POV, this book is very addictive indeed.

The reader doesn't know who to trust and who not to trust.  As the story evolves, you feel yourself lurching from idea to idea as to what's happening and whose side you're actually on.  Will you be right or will you be wrong?  The only way you can do that is to grab a copy for yourself and immerse yourself between the covers.
