Saving the World ~ Women: The Twenty-First Century's Factor for Change by Paola Diana

From Goodreads

A passionate call for international gender equality by a leading entrepreneur; this smart, accessible and inspiring book makes the case for why all nations need more women at the top of politics and economics. `The status of women is a global challenge; it touches every human being without exception. How is it possible that countries where women have achieved political, economic and social rights after exhausting struggles remain seemingly indifferent to the egregiousness of other nations where the status of women is still tragic? The time has come to help those left behind.'

My thoughts

I received a copy of this to read in order to take part in a Blog Tour organised by Bei Guo back in December 2020.  Sadly, things got in the way and I wasn't able to read and review it in time to take part, so my blog stop became an extract from the book instead.

Over 12 months on and I have finally got round to dipping in and out of it.  This is not the sort of read that you could read from cover to cover due to it's factual and thought provoking nature.

I found this an interesting read and while it hasn't made me think much differently to how I previously thought before I read it, I do feel that it did point out how skewed things are at times for women and how we are treated in general in different societies and cultures.  Things need to change immensely in some Countries, in order for the gap between how women are treated to decrease and become a more level playing field so to speak for all.

Well worth dipping in and out of, if you come across it in my opinion.
