From Goodreads
I don’t belong here.
I’m in way over my head. But I have debts to pay.
They call my name. The spotlight is on. The auction starts.
Mr. Black is the highest bidder. He’s dark, rich, and powerful. He likes to play games.
The only rule is there are no rules.
But it’s just one night. What’s the worst that can happen?

My thoughts
I grabbed a free copy of the story via Amazon. Whilst it was an average read that despite the length was a quick read indeed, it did grab my interest for the time that I was reading it. It is an erotic at times read, another series in the vein of Fifty Shades and similar series that were brought more into the light after E.L. James had sold her stories to the World.
This story is the first in the Black Edge series by this Author and it has been previously released under a different name (His to Take or some say Auctioned to Him). So please be careful if you have read them under that name.
Telling the story of Ellie, a young woman with debts who ends up being auctioned off for one night to the highest bidder in order to pay off those debts. In steps Mr Black as he wants to be called at all times. He is more than happy to pay over the odds for one night with Ellie. As Ellie comes to realise what is involved and how demanding the highest bidder is, she begins to wonder what she has got herself into in some ways. Yet at the back of her mind is the fact that by doing what Mr Black wants her to, she will have earned the money to pay off all her debts, so that has to be a good thing right?
As in many of these books, it's really a girl meets boy kind of story with a bit of sex thrown in for good measure. I invested in this story, but I have little or now interest in reading the rest in this series.
