From Goodreads

Cataclysmic events have occurred in the decorous upper middle class enclave within Southsea, Portsmouth, on the south coast of England.

But what were the circumstances that contributed to this violent clash involving a Sherman tank and a bazooka? The strange occurrence is Investigated by Lord Everard Pimple, a naive, upper class twit who not only inadvertently opens a can of worms, but has an introduction into the world of womanly wiles.

Everard's life is about to blow up like an atom bomb... he just doesn't know it yet. But after the dust settles, will he still be standing?

My thoughts

Thanks to Emma of Damppebbles Blog Tours for the opportunity to take part on this tour.  I have read and enjoyed other books by Pete Adams and was more than happy to take part in exchange for a review and a blog post.

Following on from where in some ways the Kind Hearts and Martinets series finishes, this new series the DaDa Detective Agency of which this is the first book is told with the same elements of humour and craziness that we have come to enjoy.

With a cast of returning characters from the Kind Hearts and Martinets series, the reader if they have had the pleasure of meeting and getting acquainted with them previously is soon feeling at home once again. If you have not had the pleasure yet, then why not put that right first by grabbing copies of that series, so that you have the back story of the characters prior to reading Road Kill.

Pete Adams has excelled himself, I can only imagine what goes on in his head when he comes out with stories like these. I have to say that they are the perfect antidote to allow us to escape all that is going on around us. I enjoyed my time with them and look forward to the next one in the series in due course.

Why not grab a copy for yourself? Settle down with it and a good brew, immerse yourself in the world of the DaDa Detective Agency and all the madcap goings on. It will be time well spent.
